About the group

We bring together fluid mechanics, numerical modelling and data-driven methods for practical hydro-environmental challenges. Our work spans fundamental research, open computational tools and collaborative projects with industry, government and communities.

We investigate coastal, estuarine and fluvial processes, including mixing, transport and the effects of engineered interventions.

Marine renewable energy

We assess resource, performance and environmental interactions to help tidal-energy technologies develop responsibly.
