Connor Jordan¶
PhD Student & Industry Engagement Lead · Group member since October 2022

Connor is a PhD student in hydro-environmental engineering and the group’s Industry Engagement Lead. His research uses hydrodynamic coastal-ocean modelling to improve tidal-stream turbine array design and understand array-scale environmental effects.
Research interests¶
Tidal-stream array design and optimisation
Coastal-ocean modelling for marine energy
Adjoint methods and data assimilation
Hydrodynamic impacts of turbine arrays
Current research¶
Connor is developing and applying methods for the optimisation and calibration of hydrodynamic models for tidal-stream energy, including array layout and operational modelling.
