Portrait of Emīls Brazovskis

Biography

Emils is a PhD student with the WAMESS CDT, holding an MEng in Civil Engineering from The University of Edinburgh, and has been working with coastal ocean modelling since 2019.

Research interests

Regional scale impacts of tidal arrays, uncertainty quantification, application of adjoint-based optimisation to coastal ocean modelling problems.

Current research

Development of adjoint based optimisation methods for studying interactions between tidal arrays and novel methods of data assimilation for improved model accuracy.
