Biography¶
Michalis is an EngD researcher from the IDCORE CDT on offshore renewable energy, following an MEng Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Glasgow. As part of the industrial aspect of IDCORE, Michalis works with Proteus Marine Renewables to ensure the project’s outcomes align with current industry needs.
Research interests¶
Michalis’s project explores the impact of tidal turbine rotor and foundation design on wake and array yield.
Current research¶
Current research involves developing tidal turbine characterization in Thetis, a shallow water equation coastal ocean model.
